Benoit Claveranne serves as the Group Chief Transformation Officer for AXA and is a member of the Management Committee. Prior to this, he has been the CEO Asia Life and CEO Life for South East Asia. Benoit has also been the CEO AXA Prévoyance & Patrimoine at AXA France. He joined AXA as the Group Senior Vice President for European and Public Affairs.
Prior to joining AXA, Benoit has been the Alternate Executive Director for France, and Advisor to the Executive Director for France of the IMF and of the World Bank, at International Monetary Fund. Before this, Benoit was the Portfolio Manager of the Caisse des dépôts et consignations (CDC) at Direction générale du Trésor (French Treasury), where he has also served as the Deputy Head of the Africa-Caribbean-Pacific Division.
He holds a degree in Law and Economics from Ecole nationale d'Administration, and a diploma in Economics and Finance from Ecole polytechnique - Ecole des hautes études en sciences sociales - Université Paris X.
