As Head of Organizational Effectiveness & Learning at Twitter, she is working to develop & grow leaders as the business continues to grow.
Prior to joining Twitter, Melissa headed the Global Learning and Organizational Consulting team at Adobe Systems. During her tenure there, she built and led a global matrixed team focused on both individual and organizational effectiveness. In 2011, her team won top honors for The Best Learning Team from Brandon Hall, and was featured in two case studies on innovative approaches to learning.
Prior to Adobe, she led HR at Epylon (now part of Accenture) & built her own coaching company focused on coaching early-career executives.
Melissa speaks, writes and tweets about learning and organizational effectiveness. She is a lecturer for the Berkeley/Columbia MBA program, and contributes to articles and books focused on the integration of organizational & individual learning.
One of the first coaches certified by the International Coach Federation, Melissa graduated from Pepperdine University with a M.S. in Organizational Development. Her personal learning projects include sailing in San Francisco Bay; studying Mandarin; and avoiding the dark chocolate almonds located in the Twitter snack bins.
